A graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at The University of Western Ontario in 1999, Dr. Sun has been incorporating new technologies and treatment modalities in his daily practice ever since. He is a strong believer of “life-long learning”, and is always trying to stay at the forefront of dentistry. Dr. Sun firmly believes that if one was to excel at what he/she does, one must continuously pursue the knowledge from the best clinicians in the world. This is the reason why he spends more than 250 hours on continuing education either abroad or locally in order to learn from the best. Our patients often benefit from these new technologies and treatment methods.

With patient’s comfort in mind, Dr. Sun has recently started providing sedation dentistry (sleep dentistry). Dr. Sun is certified to use all 3 modes of sedation including: IV sedation, Oral sedation, and Nitrous Oxide. He is very excited at the opportunity of being able to treat more patients who have a phobia for dentistry, therefore improving their access to dental care and their overall health.

Dr. Justine Chan received her B.Sc. in Life Science from McMaster University and her DDS at the University of Western Ontario, where she completed an internship in orthodontics and paediatrics. She has volunteered for Dental Outreach Community Service, and Oral Health Total Health, providing care to at-risk and special needs patients.

Strongly committed to continuing education, Dr. Chan is also certified in moderate oral sedation. She is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Ontario Dental Association, and Canadian Dental Association. Her favourite part of her job is being able to change peoples' perceptions of dentistry through her gentle touch, and helping even the most anxious achieve their best smiles.

Outside of work, Dr. Chan enjoys traveling, cooking, and swimming.

Dr. Jeffrey Lam received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honours from the University of Toronto. He also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from McMaster University.

After graduation, Dr. Lam completed a hospital dental residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, with additional training on treating medically compromised patients and those with special needs. In 2014, he travelled to Moose Factory to provide dental services in the surrounding northern Ontario communities. Currently, he is a staff dentist at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. In his free time, Dr. Lam enjoys playing the violin and running.

Dr. Lam believes good communication is crucial to helping his patients achieve the smile they want. He is always ready to listen to his patients and explain any questions they may have to ensure they feel confident about each procedure.

Dr. Emily Nguyen obtained her DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Immediately following, she was selected to complete a prestigious two-year program in advanced education of general dentistry at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, where she received advanced training in all aspects of dentistry, including but not limited to, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, laser dentistry, oral facial pain diagnosis and treatment, and management of medically compromised patients.

Staying involved in the dental community is a priority for Dr. Nguyen, and as such, she is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeons in Ontario, and the Arizona Dental Association. With the belief that giving back to the community is essential, Dr. Nguyen has also participated in multiple community outreach programs, such as Give Kids A Smile, Day for Special Smiles and Mission of Mercy.

Her real passion is providing high quality dental care and creating long-lasting relationships with her patients. She has a real soft spot for the kids and truly enjoys making their dental experiences positive from their first visit.

When not at work Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her family, playing and watching tennis, reading, drawing and costume-making.
